Daisy x Gatsby
How chaotic can I make this?
“I booked tickets for us to watch Barbie/Oppenheimer!” Daisy and Gatsby yelled out. The second it was said, it was over; Daisy’s excitement left in awe and maybe a slight annoyance at the whole idea. Gatsby had officially gone insane. Daisy knew it was bound to happen but not this quickly. She could barely process what was going on. Gatsby and Barbie? And herself? Before she could even think of how to respond, it already escaped her lips, “No.” She looked up only to see Gatsby’s face filled with devastation… over Barbie. BARBIE. Halfway into another room, Gatsby yelled out, “I already bought us matching pink suits.” In less than two seconds, he brought out two of the shiniest and sequined suits that Daisy had ever seen. They were atrocious (she loved them), but Oppenheimer was more important. “Then what about Oppenheimer? Should I just throw out the suits I bought?” She, in fact, did not buy them but refused to allow such a small weakness to end the argument. This bright idea of hers was only met with an evil smirk on Gatsby’s face. “Okay… then bring them out.” This only led to more arguing about the lack of trust in their relationship and their vast differences. In the end, there was only one solution.
“Fine. Go alone.”
“Thanks, I will. Same to you,”
“Yeah I guess so, then”
“Right”
“Yup”
“Alright have fun then”
“Sure, you too”
*day of the movie*
Daisy was still annoyed at Gatsby over the whole argument, prompting her to annoy him further. Rather than driving her car to the theater, the RWE Bagger t88, she stole his keys are drove away in his yellow Rolls Royce. Too focused on the GPS, Daisy accidentally heard a loud thud. She assumed it was just a curb and drove on. When she finally arrived, she spotted Gatsby rolling up in her car. Knowing how angry Gatsby must be, Daisy walked inside the RJM Theater with a smile on her face. Purchasing her ticket and a large bucket of fried fish, she entered the Oppenheimer theater room. She was met with a surprise as Gatsby started walking in from the opposite side. She started to feel guilty, knowing that he still came to Oppenheimer with her after she stole his car. Hoping to apologize after the movie, she sat down in the seat next to him, filled with happiness.
Gatsby’s POV;
Gatsby was happy that Daisy sacrificed Oppenheimer to see Barbie with him.
The lights turned off and the movie began. The title of the movie disappeared just as quickly as it came on. Jurassic Park Marathon. Movie 1 out of 6. They were in the wrong theater. Daisy and Gatsby were too shocked to even process what just happened. They would have to sit inside for more than 12 hours watching a movie about dinosaurs. They couldn’t even leave because of how crowded the room was. They accepted their fate and decided to brave through it. As the movies progressed, Daisy realized how important Gatsby was to her. Seeing the way Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler loved each other made her emotions that much clearer. The way Gatsby’s eyes glittered like stars against the dark sky almost let Daisy ignore the men on screen getting viciously ravaged by a dinosaur. Before Daisy could get a word out, the lady behind her started clapping. And not the way people clap as a unified theater experience, but as if she just witnessed a cinematic masterpiece. Tears were rolling down her eyes, and she just kept clapping. Daisy peered over at Gatsby to see him look just as confused. The entire scene was so terrible, that they started to laugh, forgetting the horrible experience they just had.
By the time the marathon was over, it was already 11:37 p.m. Daisy got up, prompting Gatsby to do the same, following each other through the exit door. Daisy stopped for a few seconds to look at the peculiar exit sign upon the door, Rather than the classic red, it shone bright green. She assumed it had no significance and opened the door to leave. Before she could process what was happening, Gatsby was thrown to the ground. A police officer under the name of Wilson pinned him to the ground, yelling out, “You are under arrest for running away from the crime scene, Mr. Gatsby.” Daisy was on the verge of tears, having no idea what to do. “A yellow Rolles-Royce was reported for crashing into the car of Myrtle Wilson, and attempting to flee the crime scene.” And then it clicked. The curb she hit was not a curb, but rather another car. A car owned by the so-called Myrtle. But would anyone even call it a crash? Daisy contemplated for a few minutes regarding the events of the day, while Gatsby was baffled at the entire scene. “Fortunately, Myrtle will survive, however, she is currently in the emergency room being treated for 13 injuries.” Oh. By the time Daisy could even object, the police had already taken Gatsby outside of the theater. Daisy dropped to the floor and sobbed, knowing she would never see Gatsby again.
WHAT IS THIS it's genuinely hilarious I love it so much, idk what was going through your mind when you wrote this but it's absolutely amazing, it's probably the best piece of fanfiction I have ever read; the ending was absolutely perfect, it was so rushed and incomplete it gave me Wattpad vibes for sure, it's nostalgic
ReplyDeleteThe RWE Bagger t88 is a stunning car
